I know I said I'd post Vertigo next. But the moment I clicked that little 'Send' button saying so, I instantly changed past, present, and future events so that I would draw Crowned. Yes, focus on Crowned. CROWNED. Cheetah. Oooh.

Anyway, Project Orpheus is the plan to suck everything out of Earth to create a new, robot-made satellite, home to a gigantic robot factory, base of operations, etc., etc. The moon is believed to have formed when a mars-sized, planet-like object crashed into Earth several billion years ago and released the materials to create the moon. This mars-sized object is called Orpheus or Theia. The whole idea, ripping out the heart of Earth to create a new satellite is like what Crowned is doing...robot HQ=moon, Earth=Earth, Orpheus/Theia=Crowned and his robots.

Sketched with a pencil, scanned, inked with the pen tool (thanks for the pen tool tutorial for us simpletons :) ) and colored on Photoshop. It was pretty time consuming, mainly because I got lost in experimenting and about 30 useless layers. And I'm pretty slow at making pictures.

OMG! Crowned!! What do he think about real felines? if they still exist at that age...I love this character!
Nice backround btw I also like the burning horizon^^

And the cat said to the mouse:"how wish you to die?"

I'm crazy and you can't do anything about it!

Oooh, he's magnificent. And still slightly creepy. I like how you made those whiskers look metallic, too. They seem to be invisible, though, over that dark marking, and it makes them look like they're too far back.

I love that background. It's got all those little details that make it cool.

Magnificent, yes...so magnificently eeeevil.
Yeah, I think I forgot to move the 'whiskers' layer, and I think I left this picture a little unfinished. Thanks for pointing the whiskers out :)
Glad you like the background.

Yeah, such a shame he's evil.

Theres so many things I like about this piece. Not only is the character wonderfully drawn, but the background is brilliant (glowy-blue potholes =) and the concept is very interesting. Awesome. :)

Ugh. I'm jealous. You cg so well and that background is breath taking. Wonderful job!

shame on us
doomed from the start
may god have mercy
on our dirty little hearts
shame on us
for all we have done
and all we ever were
just zeros and ones

and you never get away
